Two sizes of actuator available. Please consult Realm for appropriate size when fitting retrospectively or to other valves.

Feedback & Control
Actuated valves utilise Realm MBV control box for enclosed switches and/or solenoids. Please refer to MBV product sheet for details.
Micro or proximity switches may also be mounted externally on actuator bracket.
Design permits many proprietary switches to be fitted, accommodating customer preferences.
Externally mounted solenoids may be screwed directly into the 1/8" BSP air inlet port.
 Proprietary Actuators
In addition to the Realm Actuator, the Realm butterfly valve will accept a wide range of proprietary pneumatic, electric and variable position actuators.

DSV Mixproof Butterfly ValvesThe double disc butterfly valve allows concurrent operations between incompatible liquids, such as process and CIP, by providing an interface between the two.
The valve consists of a pair of separate disc and seal arrangements separated by a leakage chamber, which is vented to atmosphere via a drain tube.
The valve can be operated manually or pneumatically. The valve discs are moved simultaneously via a mechanical linkage. During movement of the valve discs, a small amount of product passes down the drain tube. An optional flushing port enables the leakage chamber and drain tube to be cleaned.
The drain and flush ports are open when the main valve is closed and closed when the main valve is open. Operation is either mechanical via a cam arrangement or by pneumatically driven pilot valves.
With the pneumatically driven pilot valve option, opening and closing of the drain and flush ports can be timed so that leakage on changeover is avoided. This option also allows additional
cleaning of the drainage tube during CIP of the main which may be desirable with viscous or "difficult" products.
